The enemy of belief Short Essay

Remember when Thomas expressed his doubt about the risen Christ? The Gospel account did not say anything about that, but I often wonder whether Jesus was offended for a moment before He let Thomas thrust his hand into his side.

Are doubts the enemy of belief? Or do they work to strengthen each other? I noticed two categories:

Healthy doubts, which will launch me into deep research on a certain topic and satisfy my curiosity.

Unhealthy doubts, which will drown me in a rabbit hole of distrust.

I befriend doubts, nowadays. It's part of my belief. Just like we have to prove something is true to believe it, we could believe the doubts that we proven not to be true. The mystery pool of doubts is always dark and deep, but one or two revealed truth will suffice.

Questioning your doubt should work like asking a question to your friend. With a certain degree of belief, you expect them to enlighten you a bit. Just be careful not to get backstabbed.
